Chairman: Phillippa Radford-Howes

Phillippa Radford - howes was elected to the parish council in September 2017. Phillippa and her partner Mark moved here 26 years ago. They run a local family business together. Phillippa was chair of the PTFA at local school when her children where younger. She enjoys producing her horse side saddle up to national level.  

 

Vice Chairman: Paul Mills

Paul Mills has been on Chirton parish council since 2013. He lives on the Patney Road, having moved from Patney to Chirton in 2009. Paul is a Business Analyst / Program Manager for Wiltshire Council and his interests include renovating a Land Rover, walking his dog, fair weather sailing and good food & wine !

Councillor: Christopher Chapman
Christopher spent his early years in Upavon where he met his wife and after a short spell in Devizes, moved into Chirton in the Autumn of 2009 where they settled to raise a family, both of their children having attended Chirton school. He has worked in various sectors including: Catering, Ministry of Defence, Security, Mental Health, Royal Navy Reservist Diver and more recently Bus Driving. Christopher's interests include The Church, History, Politics, Nature and Running
 
Councillor: Gerald Lanfear
Gerald has lived in different parts of the village for over 50 years and attended Chirton School. He currently lives at Patney Road  with his partner Liz. Gerald has 3 boys, 2 of which still live at home.  He worked at Manor farm Chirton until 2004 and now works in Swindon, manufacturing engines for Honda. His passion is cars and as well as helping his sons restoring their Landrovers, he has his own 1982 TR7 which keeps him occupied!
 
Councillor: Tim Burgess
I have  lived in Chirton since 2018 and was involved in the War Memorial project, which I very much enjoyed. I feel it is time now to give something back to the village if I can. 
As for previous experience, I have served on Woodborough PC for many years, including a few years as Chair.
 

 

Clerk: Susannah Lampard
Susannah became Clerk to the Council in November 2018. She graduated in Graphic Design & Communications in 1994, which took her into the world of Corporate Design and Licencing for many years. She helped to found the successful Rachael White Design Landscaping, from kitchen table to five star Award Winners at Chelsea Flower Show in 2017 as head of IT Illustration and Artwork. Most recently Susannah started up Country Mile Flowers Events Floristry.

 

Responsible Financial Officer (RFO): Sharon Prance

Sharon Prance is the Responsible Financial Officer to the Parish Council, joining in August 2019. She has lived in the area for 20 years and runs her own business. She is a governor at Rushall C of E school. Her pastimes include reading, walking and singing in a choir.
